That's alright. A lot of guys out here didn't actually build there own cars they farm them out to the tuner shops.
When I started mine I tried that route but nobody wanted to do what I wanted so I ended up on this (4+) year odyssey and I am still another year + from finishing.
I have had way too many other project cars in betwwen (3) of them that took up a lot of my time and I'm currently working on finishing up my bro's 2001 Z06, before getting back to mine again.
Good luck with the basement job. Over the last two years I did the garage, driveway and walkway out front and half the basement. One of these days when I sell off all of the remaining corvette parts I'll finish up the last half of the basement.
