Oil cap breather
Hey guys,happy Friday,I have a question, I saw one of those small breather elements at Advance yesterday and would like to mount one on my oil cap ,has anyone here done it? I love the look.

Unless your car is modded and setup for this, I would not put one of those on your car. My tuner intalled one on mine because they re-worked or removed the PCV system when they installed my H/C and FAST 90/90 setup and the breather cap allows the pressure to equalize in the crank case.
I cannot say for certain, but putting one of these on your car with the PCV system stil lin place might trigger a MIL. I am sure others will chime in.

I think the people who use them most are those with superchargers. The rest just like the looks of them. They like form over function.
And I believe it defeats the purpose of closed PCV system. Depending on how hard you drive your car, condition of the internals, etc, you may find yourself cleaning "blow by" off the engine bay.
If you like it just for the looks, buy one and glue it on to the top of your oil fill cap. No one will know but you...
