GM did not offer a factory hardtop for convertibles.
Keep in mind that top replacement is about $1,100, that's parts and installation. At least that's what I paid.
When you include paint and shipping you could have replaced your factory top 3 times for the price of a hardtop. That's why I choose to replace my top when it became time. I haven't had any problems with snow or comfort in the winter.

Here is what a friend did with his. This started out as a 2000 vert and he added a hard top then cut that into a targa top. Then went and traded the car to get a 4 seater for his new baby.

thanks for the reply's, I was looking into competitive, driving and they said that if it was a convertible, that I had to have a roll bar, or a factory hard top, that is what got me wondering, also all other models in the past had this option
I have heard that it becomes a pain in the *** after awhile taking it off and storing it from a few peeps. I will stay with the vert.....but it does look cool and would be to have both I can imagine.
