Default NItto 555R question

I had these new and they seem to be a thin tire. From the inside to the top of the tread. Anyway, are these pretty much done after the tread is gone and they are flat? I know some DR's just get to the sweet spot when they get flat and look like a slick. Anyway...mine are about there and I do massive high speed pulls with these. 160+ sometimes and I worry about them getting to thin and blowing. Any good way to know when DR's are to thin?

thanks for any input

the 555r's come new with like 6/32nds of tread. you can almost see the wear bars when you install them... i don't know how low that i would run them, and i would be worried about them like you are also..

I have a set on my vette. They were on the wheels I bought and both were almost new! I like them so far, prolly 5K miles, about 6 passes at the 1/4 but pretty much only street/some agressive driving most of the time. They seem to be wearing real well. Hopes this helps to some degree. I have not tracked the car, left and right wise!
