Whats goin on guys, at the moment my silver z06 has limo tint, black motorsport rims, and a full blackout kit on the signals. Now comin from the euro scene, I had seen some really sexy looking bimmers with their side view mirrors color matched to their theme. What do you guys think about a silver/black color combo, with the side view mirrors painted black?
I think it would be worth trying . The worst thing that could happen is that you would paint them back silver. Or you could find another set from one of the guys on the forum parting out there cars. Who knows you may even find a set in black. Post up some picks if you decide to do it.
Something to consider is that when imports have black side mirrors it usually means that it is the cheapo version of the respective model line. The mirrors will just stick out like a sore thumb. OOPS! someone already said that.

Reason: mistake
I'm thinking it would not look right. But that's just me. It's like it would stick out like a sore thumb. A Bruised sore thumb.
Thats the only thing that has been in the back of my mind, the main reason why i've held off on doing it. I'm planning on getting the Caravvagio (sp) rear wing, and leaving it black, getting the lower valence on the rear bumper painted black, and a louvered hood (any suggestions?) painted silver with the louvres painted black.
I have the Caravaggio rear spoiler (and the front canards, too) and when I first got it I laid it across the back to get a trial look at it. For a moment I pondered the idea of leaving it black on my torch red Z. My wife was helping me at the time and when I asked her opinion she said "are you nuts? That looks terrible, like it's just stuck on." When it was painted and installed it looks like a natural part of the car. I'm glad I painted it. I get loads of compliments from people saying that of all the cars they've seen that it is the best looking rear spoiler.
BTW, I've posted this fact before. The Caravaggio spoilers look so natural on the C5's because they were designed by John Cafaro, the person who designed the C5 originally at GM. Originally there was a possibilty of them being marketed as a Chevy accessory. When that didn't happen he sold the molds to John Caravaggio.
