So, I am leaving the movie tonight, and I put the car in Competitive Driving. (I just like having a little more control over the car vs. what TC gives you). Anyway, I am driving out, car dings TC light comes on in dash, and says "Competitive Driving, Warming Up." Tried to just turn TC back on, light stayed lit. Then ding, DIC say "Warm Up Complete", and the car was fine. Has ANYONE seen this before? I Hadn't even heard of a C5 doing this. Oh, and it's an 01 6sp convertible. FYI. Anyone?
I've always been confused by that message. The owner's manual makes it sound like it should always do a "warm up" before active handling will work, but I only get the message like 3 times a year at completely random times.
you had one of the the wheels slip versus the other 4 immediately upon driving off..
in that situation the sytem needs to re calibrate to ensure it was not a fault.....
happens to me often at auto-x events...
My '99 started showing that for a short while before the steering wheel position sensor started going bad. It was probably already going bad of course. I've heard others get that message if their wheel alignment is a bit too far off too. Pull your codes.
