I too, am very tired of keeping those front wheels clean. My only concern is whether I will be sacrificing any significant stopping power in exchange for clean wheels. If that is a myth, someone please dispel it so I can get a new set of ceramic pads and not have to frown every time I look at my front wheels two days after washing the car.
I can't back it up with numbers, but my car does seem to have lost stopping power with the ceramic pads. Not to the point that it feels like a camry or anything, but it definitely doesn't have the grab it did with the oem pads. If you are just going to be daily driving it the ceramic pads will be fine and you will see less dust. If you are going to track it I would advise against it.
Yeah i just want the ceramics for around town and my "regular" driving. If i did track the car which i probably wont i would switch the pads back to factory.

If you are going to track the car ceramic would not be my first choice.
I drive my car very aggressive and have had no issues with brake fade or other problems.
You will not be happy with the performance of ceramic pads, especially on a ZO6. I ran GM Ceramics, very little dust, but lousey performance, you have to press much harder and do not stop as well.
I recommend HAWK HPS brake pads, very little dust and GREAT performance, better than ZO6 pads.

I hated the ceramics. I hated the feel, the increased effort, the sound - everything about them. I pulled them out after about 1k miles.
Here's a tip. After cleaning your wheels, make sure you hit the surface with some kind of polish or wax. It helps keep dirt an brake dust off your wheels.
Do some research on your own or ask an expert in the field of brakes. Most people on the forum are gonna side for what they put on their car. Thus giving bias opinions. I did lots of research and made alot of phone calls before I replaced my pads a year ago. That was way before I got white calipers. once I discovered that the wheels and other parts stayed clean I was sold on the ceramic pads. Now there are many different qualities of ceramic pads. I would go with a well known brand.
Do your research

I got my Gm Ceramic pads from Gene, when I changed my rotors to drilled and slotted ones. I have to admit that there was a difference in stopping power, and pedal effort. Having said that, the difference was not so different, or so significant that I would change back to regular pads with the driving I do. There was however, a HUGE difference in brake dust, and overall dirt on the wheels. In several thousand miles of driving, I have also NOT experienced the pulsing that I had with my OEM brake pads and rotors. I credit this to the slots in the new rotors.I'm happy with what I have now. It may not be for everyone, but it suits me just fine. If I ever decide to do track time though, I would probably consider getting pads that grab quicker, and give more stopping power.
