Vert oweners help
I Have a 02C5 vert and i think its time for a new top. The porblem is the local shops are corvette taxing me to death they want 1500 dollers to do a new top. Does anyone know where i can order the top myself and maybe get it cheaper. I have the money but i would like to have a new top and a NOS KIT

Check with CF member MagRedConv He bought a slightly used top and used a local shop to install it. He saved a bunch of money. I'll shoot him a pm to check in here.

I purchased an oak top from forum vendor Corvette Re-Cyclers last June. It was in excellent condition and cost me $325 shipped. I called probably six upholstery shops around Austin (including the shop my local dealership farms that job out to) and found that the install prices ranged from $300-$450.
I went and checked out a few of the shops and decided on one that did a couple of Stevie Ray Vaughn's cars back in the day, turns out that was the $300 quote.
So, bottom line:
With a bit of shopping and patience I got the whole enchilada for under $650.
