Help with a wheel/tire combo please
My buddy with an 02 vert wants to put new CHROME stock looking wheels and a new set of runflats with the tps units on now, (his factory wheels are pitted badly on the back side and needs new tires. Vette has 30,000 miles. Is it a good idea to replace the tps units now, they are almost 8 years old, and who do you reccomend for the best price /service for them? He only puts about 3000 miles a year on. Thnaks

Yes, you should replace the TPS when the new wheels and tires are purchased, it doesn't make sense to replace them in 2 years at the risk of damaging the new wheels down the road. Also you can drop the wheels, and sensors off and have the tires mounted and then bolt them on yourself, again not risking damage to the car by the tire shop. 
To retrain the sensors an old speaker magnet works great. Look in the manual for re-training tps.

Thanks guys, that is pretty much what I thought. Any advice on a supplier for the entire package. He wants everything is stock sizes. We are going to try Tire Rack and Discount tire, but is their anybody else?
