Could have bent the rim slightly, it would be ok at slow speeds but as you go faster the vibration would def get worse

Exactly what I said. Too fast for conditions. If I were not retired and working your area I would have given you a ticket. Of course you are not reporting to your insurance as they will want a police report. High rpm in even third gear in a Vette is well beyond the speed limit.

Just man up and admit you make a dumb mistake. Had an approaching car been in the curve you could have killed them.
