There was a post here, oh maybe 1 1/2 years ago where a manufacturer dynoed the addition of an x-pipe to a header system. Seems though it added <5 HP and <10 ft/lbs of torque. Most however, do prefer the sound.

Melting Slicks
I have GHL's with the GHL x-pipe. No pop what so ever. Feels smooth at all power levels. I was told that GHL and Magnaflow were the only "true" x pipes.
