Hey guys,I have an 02 A4 coupe with B&B bullet exhaust and I was thinking about an x-pipe to cut down on the popping at deceleration.Which one should I get for the best performance?:

Sorry, I Can't help, been wondering the same thing...can't wait to see some responses to this
I kind of like the popping too but I have heard others on here claiming better performance, less drone and popping. If I wont get better performance I will leave well enough alone...I like the B&B.
I have borla stingers with a dual tips connected to a bassani X pipe they said it would stop a popping sound when u change the gear but still pops sometimes. And I honestly didn`t feel the sound or hp change after i had it installed. Maybe i need the longtubes and the performance cats to get the best out of it.

Magnaflow is good, but so is Corsa.
You may want to ask yourself if you intend to install headers in the future. A lot of header packages include the X pipe.
As for the X pipe alone I don't think there is much of a difference,,just find one that is the best deal !! I'd just make sure its stainless. Might look for a used one,as many wind up with an extra when they get a header system. I just got one from a friend (a stainless Corsa). He hac it installed at Funfest and a few months later had a full header/high flow cats and X-pipe system installed. Got it for $150. Check around!!
Originally I had GHL's with the Bassani X pipe and it sound nice & smooth (as compared to the OE's, but still popped/gurgled)...I replaced it with LG streets with high flo cats( x pipe is part of the system) and it now sounds awesome..If your planning to get headers at some point, don't bother spending money on the X pipe now IMO...

I had almost the same... Corsa Pace Car exhaust with Bassani X pipe: Very smooth sound compared to OE (and no popping for me). But, I replaced it with American Racing longtube headers with crosspipe (built in) and it sounds MUCH better (I'm still using the Corsa pace car exhaust). I also picked up more RWHP with the headers, where I didn't pick up much with just the X pipe. So, Adding headers makes a definite difference; A bit louder, still no popping, added HP, etc.
If you are going to install headers (or even thinking about it), wait a bit and take that route over just the X pipe and exhaust - IMO too.
I sold my Bassani a while back. Otherwise I would have offered it up
Here is what the Bassani looked like...
And... Here's the ARH Crosspipe on my car...

I had a B&B Route 66 catback on my '00 and was getting a lot of popping and resonance in the car. I went with a Bassani X-pipe - cured 95% or so of the problems.
I've got B&B bullets, x-pipe, and LT headers. The poping in still there but the infamous motor boat sound of the ls1 is gone. The exhaust note is much smoother..
