Default Replacing 3rd brake light

Before I start going ripping things apart how do you remove the 3rd brake light in the bumper? Do you have to remove one of the taillights to get to it or is it inside the trunk?

You have to remove your liscense plate holder and plate lights. Look up and into the rear holes where the plate lights were and remove screws and plug.

Helps to remove the closest tail light on each side for more access as well. Good luck.

Just done this to instal LED's a few days ago. I went in via the tail ligts. I'm right handed so I used the pass side closest tail light to the third brakelight. Good luck!

Of course it isn't.

You're supposed to take the car to the dealership to have this done.

Leave the car for a day and then pay MSRP of $163.06 for a third brake light plus labor and whatever other "problems" they find that absolutely have to be fixed.
