I have searched thru pages of posts on wheel alignment and have yet to find what I'm looking for.
I am having new tires put on and will get a 4 tire alignment done. The old tires wore out on the insides which to my understanding is a result of the aggressive settings for Z06s. I don't do any racing just cruising (did my racing back in the 70s) and would like to get a even wear across the front tires.
Has anyone had their alignment changed to accomplish this and if so, how did it turn out?
Thanks
I had the shop do just that and it has worked out great so far, of course they only have like 3000 miles on them, but looks like he did a very good job. Just find a reputable shop that knows what they are doing.
The factory specs for the Z06 front end allow for -.7 +/- .5 degrees camber, so you could have as much as -1.2 degrees negative camber and still be within specs, but this will give you inside tire wear for normal street driving.
I decreased my camber by 1/8th degrees and found that you need to have zero to -1/8 degrees max. for accepatable inside tire wear. Toe-in should be zero to 1/32 inch.
The rear tires are not as critical since they are not turning, so you can get away with more camber.
Caster needs to be close to equal on both sides, but does not affect tire wear, only returnability of the steering to center.

This is the exact set-up I have. If you go to the link I supplied and look under "advance street" for 97-02 c5 and then read the foot note on the bottom you will see that. I realize you have an 03 Z, but the specs seem to work the same for your year!. Mine is an 01 Z
Find a shop that knows what they are doing, one that alighns performance cars specifically, not some local Less Schwab, or Firestone etc. Have them put it within the specs of a base C5 (Z06 had more agressive track oriented specs) with an emphasis on street driving and longer tire wear. If they are good they'll know exactly what to do.
