I've had to convince a few folks. Don't know who is worse, the Mustang guys or the import drivers who have seen too many fast-n-furious movies.
Last year when I bought my 03 Z, first thing I did was head over to my friends house to show it off. I totally trust his driving skills so I handed him the keys and off we went.
The next day I get a phone call from him giving me crap. He said he couldn't drive his car (89 Skyline GT-R) for a day cause he knew he would of been dissappointed.
He said he enjoyed the torque at any rpm feeling instead of his cars "lightswitch" on/off powerband.
To this day whenever I hand him the keys to the vette, he shakes his head........nah, that's ok.
It always puts a smile on my face.

Good way to handle it. I know there will always be something faster than me, but I know when to talk and when not to.
Exactly, my neighbor has a caged 67 Nova tubed chassis small block with a blower it is a consistant 9 sec car I won't be going over and acting like a dope talking all kinds of bs like I can beat him.We are going to run in the spring at a track
My son is building a '68 Mustang coupe and his goal is to build it to beat my 'Vette. We haven't established yet whether that is straight line or the twisties. I think he probably wants to stay away from the curves.
