Today I heard some funny stuff. A guy I do buisness has a 07Mustang with a cold air kit, full exhaust, and a tune, so he tells me his car will not only beat my car it would kill it. My car 04Z06 ECS Novi s/c,meth and the whole nine yards 581rwhp. So after I laughed in his face for about 10 minutes he finally says tonight we do this. Now I will not be challenged and race because if something was to happen I could not live with myself. So I do the next best thing I go home get my car go back to him let him call me bitch, pus for not racing I take him for a quick ride. Well I did a heavy first thru third then went into a off ramp at about 90 then jumped on it once again look over the boy looked like he crap himself. We get back to his house he says to me I never felt something like that in my life and for the next hour he bragged about my car to his friends. PRICELESS.
You and him should just take it to the track and settle it! That's the only way.
No he wouldn't think of it now. I have taking alot of people in my car for rides some with real nice stuff but its the combo of the roar of the exhaust and neck snapping torque that always gets them.
Ford enthusiasts are soooooo hard to convince with words. They have to learn from their mistakes....I had a '92 coupe w/4.10s and many, many bolt ons. Got wiped up by a '93 C4 that a guy at work had. You couldn t convince NOTHING! Till his 3rd gear covered my headlights with pea gravel........And goooone!! I sold that car the very next day.(seriously)
Nobody ever knows what our cars truly are until the ride in them. I had a guy tell me that he would not have a Vette because they handle bad and they are poor on power/heavy cars.
I told him to get in.
I hit the rev limiter through 3rd, and that was well over a legal speed. Then went through a really sharp turn (the kind with the > > > signs) at that speed. It was a right hand turn, and he ended up almost on top of me because the G's threw him towards me.
When we got out of the car he was speechless. He couldn't believe it.
I know there are other cars out there that will do just the same, but a C5 is one of the only cars that I would trust carrying that kind of speed through a sharp turn. It jsut sticks and rides ride through like it is on rails
