Well, I owned my 2000 vert for just over a year. What a great car! It was my second Corvette and I promise it won't be my last, either. What can you say about Vette owners? In my opinion, it's one of the best car communities out there. This board is one of the best car boards I've read, hands down, there are so many knowledgeable people here.
Anyway, I need a little more space, so I got a new car...a G8 GT. I couldn't help myself, it was 0% financing! I hope you guys can forgive me...it's still a GM!
I traded in the vert. I did about as well as could for trade-in value, nowadays, just a little over KBB.
Is it an upgrade? Or is it a downgrade? Neither. The truth is, you cannot compare these two cars. One is a big, rear wheel drive sedan and the other is sports car. It's really apples and oranges. Almost no one will cross shop a C5 and a G8. It will takeover daily driving duties from my C5 and I think in this role it's a little better suited for my needs.

Understandable. My Vette is not my daily business driver as I need four seats/space as well.
Good pick on the G8. I saw my first one up close last week when the guy parked next to me. When I returned and was walking up to my car, I thought the G8 was an Audi or BMW in terms of the Euro styling. Nice lines!
