I'm glad this thread has gotten the response it has after only a few hours! The ages vary greatly! I'll post up a mean average of all posters once more replies come in!
I bought my Corvette from Shannan L here off of the forum. I saved up money from the time I was 16 until I was 21. I finally had enough money stockpiled to own my dream car.
..Every car I EVER had I bought MYSELF...No help from parents (they couldnt afford to)...and looking back over the past 35 years, I would have it ANY other way!!!

I'm old enough to say I forgot what your question was after reading the thread. After going back to page one I was wrong. That's how old I am. A better question would have been how old were you when you bought your FIRST Vette. That's the real question. In my case I was 27 and I bought a white matching numbers 67 Vert. I would give my left... well anyways I wish I still had that car today.

I dunno for sure.......but you might become my next idol
I'm 35 and on my 3rd Vette ('02 Z), bought the first one ('90) when I was 24 and the second ('96 LT4) when I was 27. All have been great daily drivers and have proven economical to own.
I am 56. You can compute the average age of all of us who have posted but it will not mean much. What I see is that we have a wide range of ages here on the forum which IMO is a good thing.
