I dunno for sure.......but you might become my next idol
...Believe it or not, when I first started looking at C6Zs, a Colorado Springs dealership wanted BOTH my C5s, my Harley, my SSR AND $5K cash for one...Needless to say I told them to POUND SAND!!!!..Of course that was when they were fetching msrp plus a $10K "market adjustment"...I waited a few years, drove to Dallas and bought one for $15K BELOW msrp
Hopefully, I will help to increase the age range here. I'm 58 going on 59 next Spetember . I bought my first one, my 93 when I was 52. Having a family, and too many financial responsibilities before that kept me from getting what I always wanted. But, better late than never.
BTW, alot of folks in the NE Forum that I'm in are well over 50. The Old Guys.
Forgot to mention, that in 1969, when I was 19, I bought a 69 Camaro brand new. Couldn't afford a vette at the time.

First vette 63 roadster at 18. Got a ticket and could not afford insurance and car payment. That was in 1968-69. Second vette in Jan. of 2009 and I am now 58. The vette is a 1999 and is paid for hope no tickets to increase insurance at this point.
59, have a 63 SWC and 02 Vert and daily driver is BMW 335i. Just love my cars, owned three other Corvettes and a 69 Yenko Camaro...oh yeah I did own a Gremlin and Mini Cooper too....
I'm sure the average age for a new corvette is around 50.. Brand New Corvettes are out of the price range of teenagers and kids in the early and mid twenties ( insurance too).. Now a used C5 is a whole different story.. A teeny bopper can pick a used one up for $13-15k.. You will also find that people tend to breed from the early twenties to around 40.. Kids and Corvettes are not practical for most growing families.. So we see older men going through mid life crisis after their kids are grown up enough to drive a car..
