There's only three Vulcan Bombers on display in the US.... the best is at the Strategic Air and Space Museum, South of Omaha (Offutt Air Force Base) just off I-80. Vulcans used to fly into Offutt AFB (Strategic Air Command HQ at that time) relatively frequently. Quite a sight over the city.... looked like a giant bat.

This musuem is one of the best in the country..... all planes inside air conditioned hangars.... including a B-36, B-52, B-57 and SR-71.

2000 hours F4 so the smell is with me forever. Air to air though.

The one at Waddington is the Black Buck aircraft. No AC here though. It sits out in the cold and it's starting to corrode. Sad to see.

I flew a Tomahawk once, but I'm guessing that won't get me in the club.
Oh, wait, I did park beside this jet last week.

I did my CFI spins in a Traumahawk. Got about 150hrs or so in 'em. Have to see if I can get me some pics w/planes soon.

Who could forget the smell of JP-4 exhaust?
Seems like an eternity since I worked on those C/D/E models.
