I have a 99 C5 Convert. I drove through a pretty heavy rain storm and noticed my top was leaking above my drivers seat. It appeared the water was comming in directly in the front corner, and I felt if I could have pulled it down maybe a little more snug to the top of the windshield frame this might have stopped it. Are there any adjustments on that or not ?
Chilly
Mine was leaking along the same area (after a new top was installed) I adjusted the "tip-in" and it cured the problem. Search should find the instructions. The door reflector is removed, and an oval plug on the front bottom of door. There are two adjustments that tip the glass inward against the weatherstripping.
It sounds like the latch on that side is not creating enough tension to hold it tight against the winshield arch. Do you get wind noise? Is the latch handle fixed firm and the latch handle bolts secure? Is the latch plate still secure and the bolts tight? Also is there any wear on the seal at that corner of the front bow?
Tip in tends to make the window fit tighter against the seal. This sounds like the front bow not fitting tight on the windshileld arch to me.
Mind you its tricky to work out a fix without seeing it. Can you post a pic?
Thank all of you for your recomendations, and suggestions. I will check as many of these options and see if any thing works. If not, I will post pictures for further comments. I'm not getting wind noise, and it doesn't leak in every rain, just the ultra heavy ones.

Sounds like my situation exactly. No wind noise, but if it's coming down pretty good, I get some leaking. Interestingly enough, it sort of goes away by itself after awhile, as if the rubber swells or something. I can't explain it. But just yesterday, after washing my car, I went over all the rubber with Aerospace 303.
I had the very same leak, did not do the tip in , ordered just the top front driver weatherstripping piece, the vert has 3 pieces, since then the leak has been gone. Water would cup in the point where it sets in as you close top.
