94:

I can see why you would want your gaskets back. But with that being said, the Kooks directions state right on them to use the factory gaskets. I would ask why they didn't reuse your factory gaskets...? I just installed my Kooks last month and reused my original gaskets. (Then I threw the Kooks gaskets away).

Welcome to the world of modding. I see guys in your predicament all the time. So take a deep breath and relax. You paid for the headers and install, so that is that. Kooks are excellent headers. The price was a bit steep IMO.

A step by step checklist

Verify the O2 sensors are installed correctly and there are no frayed or burnt wires.

Pull the intake manifold off and check for oil. This will wreak havoc on timing. You may need a catch can if not already installed.

With the car running check for any leaks at the heads where the headers are bolted. These bolts should be re-torqued after a few heat cycles anyways.

I have only found one decent tuner who was also able to turn a wrench. Most are either good tuners or good mechanics, but rarely both. Have another tuner take a look at it.

No need to name names right now. That's simply a no-win situation. Take what you have learned and move on.

Good luck
