Default Tune Help ASAP!

My 03Z just came form the tuner.I had a full Kooks system,pulgwires,NGK plugs installed.The base line for my car was 362RWHP.After the headers/pulgs/wires with a street tune and dyno tune the car only picked up 11RWHP.Whats wrong with this picture?The tuner said that the gas was not letting him add timing.He said that when he added timing the car would pull it out.He wanted to add 28* of timing.I put Shell 93 in the car before I dropped it off.He says to run 2 tanks of gas though the car and bring it back for more tuning.So Kooks 1 3/4 with highflow cats NGK tr55's new wires for 11RWHP.

So to spend $ 1500 on headers and a bill for $950 for install and dyno time to pick up 11RWHP.Does anyone else think this is .If you guys have any ideas of what to try please post.My A/F ratio is 13 across the board.

I think the headers alone should have given you 25HP.

Were you stock exhaust before? Quite often o2 sensor wires get crossed by installers? Exhaust Leaks? Plug wires on firmly? 13 is too rich but if your tuner leans and it pulls timing? Maybe try Torco to see if it helps? Maybe a freak bad load of fuel

I know right!!! To be honest I feel like I got suckered.We're talking over 2k in headers/dyno time and street time for 11RWHP.The whole way home I just started to get madder and madder.$2,400 for 11RWHP.

Stock manifolds and cats all the way back to the B&B cat back.New plugs,new wires,new Kooks 1.3/4 headers X pipe the whole nine.11RWHP.

I am assuming he(tuner) is going to charge you again for another tune. If so, I dont know what to think.

Oh he also said that I need a crankcase breather.I was like on just a bolt on car?For a F/I car I can see that but for bolt ons?

I think that these cars come from the factory with 28* timing. My tuner dropped my head/cam.......car to 24* and it runs absolutely great. They did have an issue with getting the car to read knock sensor and other sensors but after repeated tries it finally took. You may want to find another tuner for a second opinion.

I already paid in full for this shop to do it.They charged my for gaskets that I didn't need and took my kooks gaskets.I'm gonna give them a chance to make it right.that's why I havent called any names.

I know....I want answers. If anybody can give me a logical reason that 11RWHP is the only gain to be had.Its not,plain and simple.They didn't tune my car.

I can see by your post that you are VERY ANGRY right now and I do not blame you. Like you had mentioned previous, take it back and give them a chance to make it right. Be sure to give us an update. Lastly make sure you are firm with them when you bring the car back to let them know that you are not happy with the whole situation.

just got off the phone with one of the guys.I asked him about my gaskets.He said that the gaskets that come with the kit are cheap and that they throw them away.First he said that a guy cleans the shop and just tosses everything.I ask why on earth would someone toss away new in the plastic gaskets.Then he ask if I wanted my money for the Kooks gaskets.

So with no information on what your tuner did you want answers. Maybe if you scan the print outs he gave you and posted them some light could be shed on this.

Regarding your tuner, who recommended him?
