The one thing you gotta remember when you add that much extra HP to a C5 is, the drivetrain is not designed to handle it.

For example, you're going to have to get a new clutch, as the stock one will not last long!
Not really. Im making 460rwhp, about 540 at the flywheel, and I stil have my stock clutch with no problems. Im not saying it will never go out but you can still run the stock clutch with that much power.

You should go check out the C6 Z06 section. They have a sticky thread with 1/4 mile times from forum members.

Your are the King of F/I on the CF.

With a roots PD you're going to see some in the 10's but they are usually pushing closer to 600 bhp probably A4s. Six speed and 505 bhp with tires v C6ZO6 with tires and equal drivers the C6ZO6 will come out on top every time. Mainly because of the power curve of the 7L and the gearing.

I would be interested in seeing a STOCK C6ZO6 tires only in the 10's? NO CAI, NO Headers or Catback and NO Tune. (as then it would be over 505 bhp).

Here you go.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...fast-list.html

Bone stock C6 Z06, stock tires and everything. Just like it came off the showroom floor.

Sir, first off that's a big compliment but to keep the record straight, I don't claim myself King of anything except for my work

I have just been around VERY fast cars all my life and have owned AND raced countless (different platforms and different countries) different combos both supercharged, N/A, N/A with heavy NOS and turbo charged. I have indulged in ALL kinds of racing. Even some that we can't talk about much here. I speak from experience. Have zero ego issues and have learned a lot. Have had the best (practical and reliable) builds out there. Have been in constant contact with some of the top notch F/I tuners in USA and yes, I have held some records but I still do NOT claim myself "King of F/I"

Now, I hate going into debates, but I have PERSONALLY seen a bone stock C6Z06 (2006) running 10.97 in 100% STOCK factory form with factory tires but I did not mention it here because I could not back it up. 02Millenium actually listed another one that ran high 10s on street tires. C6Z06 will do it EVERY time in hands of a proper driver and ideal conditions. Not only it will outrun a Supercharged C5 with 505HP to the crank in 1/4 mile, street race, 0-60, 100-160 but it will murder one on a road course too. I have ACTUALLY done that with a stock C6Z06 on a road course running a 600rwhp supercharged C5. The only time C5 pulled me was on the back straight. I killed him EVERYWHERE else on that track.

Now with a properly built C5 (all aspects from suspension to differential) with 550-650 supercharged rwhp, a stock C6 Z06 has NO chance in **** to pull it ANYWHERE! Another tip, 650rwhp is all you need for total annihilation. Above that is bragging rights and different kind of fun but that is again debatable and a TOTALLY different story

Good night gents and try to stay away from stock C6Z06 with 505HP if you have supercharged 505HP on flywheel

No problem man. I live in reality

If you want to see a stock C6Z06 getting murdered ruthlessly, I can video it next time I run into one with my Twin Turbo car but honestly, it will NOT be a fair race

Stay safe and keep it on the track

Ummmm.. Would you believe I thought when I originally posted that I was razzing someone OTHER than our beloved Nouman?! Well that's the case. He IS the King of F/I and someone I have asked for advise from. I only WISH to have a supercharged corvette of corvettes....

I'm a fireman so I can be ornery but I'm not a practicing $h!t starter, so I hope anyone that saw my post will forgive me for coming off as a snob.

Nouman rocks and we all know it. I apologize buddy. Phew.

So now that we have all seen what said Rock Star had to say on the subject I guess this thread is done!

I'm a dork.
