Default Geico sucks !!!!!!!!

hey guys and girls !!

yes i said it GEICO sucks. My car would not start yesterday so i called GEICO cause i have roadside with them. i told the person from GEICO i needed a flatbed for my car. they sent out a regular tow truck! so i called back and they told me that they will send one out and then i get a call 10 min later telling me that they are still trying to find someone that has a flatbed that is willing to get my car. Now i did tell them that my vette has been lowered, and has been on a flatbed befor. but after an hour they told me that no one wanted to come and get my car cause of the liability. and was told that the companies did not have the right tools for the job ??? but the funny thing is that in the middle of this they told me they could tow me to a dealer. it i want to be towed to my house they would charge me 5 dollars a mile from the nearest dealership !!!!??? in my case that was only 5 miles away.

but after all of that crap. i went home and left my car in the parking lot were i was at. my girlfriend called AAA and she told them that my vette was lowerd and needed a flatbed. AAA said no prob !!?? we have a flatbed for cars like that !! and we will be there in 20 min.

so yes today i dropped GEICO like a bad habbit. and do not recommend them at all !!!!

I like them because they only charge me 1300/yr for 2 cars, vette has full coverage.

I dont use them for road side assistance. I use AAA for that.

I dropped Geico a few years ago. Perfect driving records, no claims but they kept jacking up my rates every 6 months.

I have obtained quotes from State Farm , Allstate, Etc...

For the money they save me, I can pay to have it towed myself if I ever need it, And I would think they would reimburse that tow bill.

Geico $500 Yearly with very low deductables
Thats over $700 Cheaper then the other Ins companies.

Not sure it is a Company problem but more a Custormer Service issue.. bottom line was you are unhappy and left. I have been with them for a LONG time and have had GREAT experences dealing with them on accidents and rates.

Sorry for your issues with them.

Nationwide gave me the best deal - 03Z, 1200/yr full insurance w/ $250 deductables, and I'm 20.

I have GEICO, good rates and great service. I even had a car totalled (flood damage), they were fast and fair. Hit a deer with another car, no problem.

I did call for road service (flat tire) once, they said it would be an hour, I changed flat myself, after Police Officer pulled behind me and put on his lights (nice officer, I wrote a thank you letter to his command), and cancelled the service call. Another time, they towed me within 30 minutes.

Add me to the list of Geico haters.

They quoted me $3500+ per year for the Vette, $1000 deductibles and flawless driving record; 30 years old.

Went to state farm for $80/month with $100 deductibles.

Geico can shove it.

You can't expect that little lizard to drive a big, tow truck...
Sorry... couldn't resist..

I agree with having AAA from towing... I know it's a PITA, but I wouldn't feel right eating a sandwich made by someone who's also a septic tank specialist...

People should stick to one thing...

When I had them, i had great customer service and they were pretty cheap. I then got married and bought a house and then I found someone cheaper. Sorry you had that much trouble, hope you get your Vette fixed soon!

Too bad they didn't help you any better. I'd be upset too.

I insure four cars with them and couldn't be happier with their
service and prices.

Like the other guys posted, AAA is a very good value
