Is a 90mm TB & intake set up on a stock or mostly stock (CAI, LT's or shorties) LS6 overkill? I'm of the opinion that unless you have a H/C set-up or FI set-up, the larger intake & TB can noticeably hurt bottom end peformance. Opinions or facts please. Thanks.
Don't know about how much it would hurt the bottom end, but without Heads and cam I doubt it would help much. The stock Ls6 intake flows pretty good, Have you had it tuned?

I've also seen H & C cars that weren't helped by a 90/90 set up.
i have the 90/90 fast combo on my 03 z06 with full intake and exhaust i put down 404rwhp and 372 whtq, one thing i did notice is it got a little slugish down low, hopefully the cam im installing next week will help with that problem, ill also be swaping out my shorty headers for long tubes

LS6 engines ( stock cubes) are not helped that much by a 90/90. There are a few ponies, but not many. so the added cost may not be beneficial, vs the stock LS6 intake and LS6 TB. LTs, and PP heads, proper valves, spings and a cam is were you will see real gains
On a LS2, LS3 or bored out LS6 is were a Fast 90/90 or 92/92 sees significant gains
I run a stock LS6 intake, polished to clean up some ruff edges, but not ported, TPIS PP 78mm intake and a 224r comp. cam, 918 springs. LTs, High flow cats and straight pipes. We just retuned for this year and still 400 rwhp and 407 rwtq with immediate throttle response. No lag what so ever
