When I bought my vette the part that the center console lid clicks in to had fallen through the gap so that the lid would not latch shut. I recently had the center console out for the first time so I took the 10 seconds to fix it. Well it has only been a week and I've open the lid less than 10 times and the part has already fallen back through.
Is this a common problem or do I need to replace something? I'd like to be able to put my wallet in their occasionally and lock it. Or should I just epoxy the part that keeps falling through?

Are you talking about the plastic piece that the lid fastens itself to when you close it? If I remember correctly it just snaps in so it may have a weak spot allowing it to fall out. If so you may be able to find a replacement and try it. Hope this helps.
