Default Current prices

I owned an 04 z06 and am very interested in buying another, low milage model (8-15,000 miles); just curious what people think the range of fair prices ought to be and any advice (leaking diffentials etc.) on what to look out for prior to purchase.

Thanks in advance

Is that "owned" as in, used to have, and do not current have?
You do not current own any Corvettes?
I have several friends that have traded C5s in on C6Z06s and the most any of them got was $25,000. Most dealers offered less than $20K.
I would expect private sellers to ask somewhere in between.

thanks. Yes I currently do not own a corvette. Several internet sellers are asking 32-35k for c5z's with less than 10,000 miles, which strikes me as excessive but having had a host (m3, viper, p turbo) of cars in the interim I don't really have any feel for the market or what issues may have developed with the 04's if any that I should be wary of.

honestly, I would look more in the 15-30k range, for some reason feel the need to charge an extra 10k for the 8,000 mile difference. For a clean stock Z06 in between 15-30k miles id price around 22-27 thousand. I purchased my 02 last year(befor the prices dropped) with 18k miles for 25 thousand if that helps.

With new car prices still down, obviously the used car market is also down. As mentioned, dealers were offering less than $20K for a trade in, but were also giving $13K to $14K off on new Corvettes.(Z06s)

Thank you.
I found it in Yahoo autos for $31K after a week or two saw the price dropped than I went for a test drive loved the car and picked it up. I have had about 26 cars and this is my 27th and this was the easiest purchase I have ever had.

Default 03 zo6

I just purchased an 03 ZO6 from a Porsche dealer in Dallas that had 11,900 miles for $26,900. Car is in almost mint condition.

Torch red is great. That had been my choice back in '04 as well--thanks for the update. Looks as though it is pretty conclusive that the internet asking prices for the low millage 04's ARE out of line. Now I just have to convince one of these sellers!
