ebrake problem
Hi,
I just noticed a problem while trying to open the trunk on a 02 Z06 while the car is running. The ebrake light on the dash works (when you start the car all the dash lights go on) but when the ebrake is on, the light on the dash is off. This stops the button from working to open the trunk. If I open the drivers door, the button will open the trunk.
Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

How long has it been this way? There should be a switch that opens and closes when you put on the emergency brake....not sure if it's under the center console but might be the problem. It's probably wired to something and it's telling the trunk the brake needs to be on and it isn't...then the door maybe does the same thing but it's working. Could be the switch or connection got disconnected and it's that simple.

It's only been a few days, I finally figured out that something was wrong this morning.
Would I remove the center arm rest/console to see the switch or do you think it is under the car somewhere?
Sorry for the noob question...
