The article only says "people are talking". Until the 
drops for certain, I would not worry abt it. Buy a ZR1 to be on the safe side. Future collectible #1.

I don't think the Corvette is going to disappear but then what do I know, about 7 or 8 months ago I bought a bunch of GM stock.
There is one good thing that might come from the disappearance of the Corvette line, the C5 might eventually increase in value some day. As it is they made so many of them I doubt they will ever begin to appreciate in value in my lifetime, but if they were to quit making Corvette's alltogether that might actually make the C5 and C6 more valuable.

I think even if GM was sold off Corvette could run on as a separate business. Mind you, if that happened I'm not sure the new owner could hold the prices quite so low.
