Rear View mirror problems-C5
I have 2 problems with my rear view mirror; First my reading lights won't work any more; Second, my auto dimmer doesn't work. Anyone have a similar problem fixed?

Sounds like a fuse to me - I'll bet your vanity mirrors don't work either. Check the fusebox in the passenger footwell and while I can't recall the exact fuse number (I want to say #10), I remember that it's a 10a fuse. Look at the fuse legend on the inside of the lid and you'll figure it out.

C5 Vanity and Rear View mirror issue
I tried replacing Fuse 10 & 21 and neither fixed the problem. Do you happen to have the schematic for the Rear view mirror auto dimmer and reading lights?http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...es/patriot.gif

Check to make sure the cable is fully seated on the back of the mirror. I ran power to a radar detector from the back of the mirror and I occasionally I have a problem exactly as you describe; map lights and auto-dim do not work. Hope this helps.
