Default New Tire Question

Recently was layed off and the C5 need tires. Any suggestions on what type to get. I would like to get something less expensive than the F-1's for the time being. Due to damage in my hands from a concussion grenade 6 month's ago, I can not change or mount the tires.

All thoughts are much appreciated.

Jack

I've noticed that the Firestone Wide Ovals are the cheapest I can find, maybe try to find some used tires?

It all depends if you want an EMT (extended mobility tire). If not, then I would look at the General Exclaim UHP, you should be able to get out the door mounted and road force balanced (very important, BTW) for under $1000. I know Tire Rack sells them, and they will give you a dealer to mount and balance the tires.

If you were in the Phoenix area, we charge $100 to mount and balance the tires - we use a Hunter GPS9700.

Not interested in EMT right now. Just sized right.

Goodyear GS-D3s would be a very good choice.

Not only are they a good value, but outperform most others.

Either those or the nankang nsII is actually a good tire for the price!
I'm running a 20" setup and they are around $300 for the rear.
