Battery-CLB install
Installed a CLB in my '01 yesterday. Don't ANYone be scared about THAT job. Took about 40 minutes start to finish. I used the instructions at http://ls1howto.com/index.php?article=24
I also installed a new battery. The car had no problems at all being without power for a couple of minutes. The snow is melting...i should be able to try out my new toy next week, getting tired of waiting.

I installed a new yellow top Optima battery in my car yesterday and now after 5 years i get pull key and wait.
So looks like i am going to have to install the CLB now.
I have never had this come up in the 5 years I have owner the car so I guess I was overdue.
Thanks for info on the ease of install.
