If they lasted 30k miles before squealing I guess its just the quality of the pads. I've had some pads that started doing that and sometimes a bit of rough breaking can clean them up again.
I'd say just change them out and make sure you bed the new ones in properly.

Many times, brake pad squeal is confused with brake pad chatter. The pads rattle in the caliper, and this situation can some times be rectified with simply pulling the pads, cleaning the calipers and applying a small touch of grease behind the caliper. Operative word is small.
my brakes are sequeling and with just 30,000miles on them i don't know why the pads should be good for at least 60,000 anyone have a thought?

I have 42K on mine and it was driving me crazy. Over 50% of the pad left. Had them changed yesterday with DuraStop Ceramic - As Sgt Schultz would say if he drove my car today - "I hear NOTHING"
