Default OEM Z06 wheels.... HELP!!

I've been absolutely all over the internet... z06vette, smokinvette, this forum... I am looking for an answer to my questions of

What wheels came stock with the z06 that aren't chrome? What color are they officially called (argent?)? What is their part number? Are they manufactured by Speedline or another company?

The only place I have found with an actual picture of the ones I want is "House of Wheels" but they don't have any in stock. Anybody got any suggestions?

None of the 2001-2004 stock Z06 wheels came chromed from the factory (the 2004 Z16 came with polished rims). Argent silver is the color. Don't know part number. Speedline was the manufacturer from 2002-2004 (spun cast and weigh slightly less), Alcoa was the manufacturer in 2001 and they were forged).

There's always some for sale in the C5 parts for sale section.

I bought a set of factory Z06 wheels to replace my aftermarket chrome wheels. I weighed a front wheel and tire from each set since the rears had dr's on one and Supercars on the other. They weighed exactly the same, in the neighborhood of 45 lbs. if I recall correctly.

The 01 wheels just have GM stamped on the back and a Gm part number, the 02 to 04 wheels are made by speedline of italy.

Some say the wheels from an 01 are a different color, I have a set of each and they are exactly the same color.

If you want to see the color of the wheels go to any parts store that has the dupilcolor 2 oz. touch up bottels the part number is NG GM 435, this is the exact color of the wheels.

Default Z06 Factory Wheels

I have a complete set of 2002 z06 factory wheels. They have 10,000 miles on them, will sell for $ 600.00 plus shipping from zip 08515.
Two wheels perfect, two wheels have minor scratches from curb side parking error.

My '04 came from the dealer with chrome speedlines, I was told it was an available option for '04 Z's.

actually..... I already did this, at 3 dealers nonetheless. Got both the part numbers from them with a picture to make sure it was the correct set of wheels. The only ones they sell that are "OEM" are a chrome finish, and they couldn't even tell me if Speedline was the manufacturer.

huh?!?! thats weird.. mine brought them right up.. of course they wont know the part supplier.. but they should have the part numbers for you.. is your car a '04 Z16?

there are no OEM chrome speedlines.. just polished ones..

'01 wheels are made by Alcoa (FORGED)
02-04 wheels are made by Speedline (Spun-Cast)

both are roughly the same color and the color is called ARGENT

good used sets can be had for under $700 shipped.. new sets from the dealer are just under $4k if I remember correctly.

I think that should cover it for ya.

Sorry, no such animal. All Z06 wheels were painted argent. The only exceptions were the z16 wheels that were polished instead of painted. THERE ARE NO CHROME WHEEL OPTIONS for the Z06.

Bought my 2nd set of OEMs for the Z this fall that came off an 04 with 1K miles on the car for $550. I've seen 01s that have a different shade than my 02 wheels or the 04's shade. Both sets of mine looked the same.

I've never heard of any CHROME OEM wheels, just the Z16 polished wheels on the 04s.

Alot of people that don't know better called them chrome, too.

Thanks for all the help. Luckily I'm moving out the hell-hole known as Colorado, so maybe I can find a dealership who actually knows what they're talking about.

I'm in colorado right now, moving to keesler in less than a month. Colorado is one of the worst places on the planet, it's putting down more than a foot and a half of snow on April 16th (not to mention all the damn hippies).... seriously, wtf??

what do the stock 2002 z06 rims weigh?? Will they directly fit a base c6, or do they need some modification to fit?

A few weeks back I tried one of my, 10.5 rear 02 speedlines without a tire on my C-6 and it fit nicely, I think the stock offsets for the c-6 are the same as the Z06 wheels or dam close.

I am at some point going to use my 01 or 02 zo6 wheels on my c-6, right now it has the comp grey split spokes, and I have a new set of firestones from my Z I might use on the c-6.

I think they would fit on a four coners without any problems.....

I think the stock 02 wheels are around 20 lbs give or take a lb.
