Default adjusting windshield wipers

I recently had a new windshield put in. When they put the wipers back on they did not quite get them back on exactly right. The wipers don't go down all the way when turned off as they used to. How hard is it to pull them off and adjust them? Should I just take it back and make them redo that or is it easy enough to do myself?

I believe the base is splined. So you can take the wiper arm off, turn it slightly and reinstall.

Thats what I figured but not sure what I would use to pull it off with, without damaging it anyways.....

sometimes they come off easy. I did have to buy a puller for one of the vettes. Try gently rocking the arm and if necessary some penetrating oil. If they just installed them, they will probably come off easily.

I would be surprised if they removed the wipers. A windshield replacement does not need a removal of wipers. Make sure the wiper arms are not lose or there is any play in the arm movement. They should be solid with no play. They could have forced or striped threads in the replacement.

They must have been removed because they do not go all the way down now. There is no slack in them so they are not stripped. I just need to re-adjust them. I had more work than just the windshield replaced though.... The whole quarter panel was replaced along with some other things....

They should come out with little trouble id say, considering they were off recently.
Get wiggle happy, maybe spray a little penetrating oil on em. Wiggle and pull out.

Take the nut off the arm, fold the wiper BLADE up, grab the base of the arm, the part that didn't fold, and pull/wiggle it upward off the shaft. Trying to get the arms off with the wiper against the windshield is fighting a losing battle, as they put pressure against the base of the arm and hold it tight on the shaft.
If you need something to pull them off, get a battery terminal puller from local parts store. Costs about five bucks. They'll come off with no sweat then.
Remember, fold the wiper arm up before you try to pull the arm off.

Thanks everyone for the replies! Lifting the wipe arm worked.

One problem though, I adjusted the wipers to where I wanted them and tightened them back up, when I ran the wipers and stopped them they ended up back in the position they were before I had adjusted them. What gives??

Oh yeah, they end up about half an inch above the stoppers, which seems higher than they used to.

The cam on the top of the wiper motor is out of sinc. You will need to adjust it to the correct clock position. I think I have a pic (not the best) in my photo album. I had the same issue and once I reclocked the cam everything went back to normal. DO NOT POP WIPER TRANSMISSION OFF OF THE WIPER MOTOR CAM!!! It is a one time use piece (the whiteish plastic piece) and will not just pop back on. I came up with a way to reuse mine. I have a pic of that as well.

Can you send pictures or lead me to a video on how to adjust wiper. My right wiper is landing under the stopper.
