You might want to consider using synthetic ATF, like Amsoil universal ATF - better than the factory stuff and because you don't need to change it very often, the cost is insignificant. Don't forget the diff fluid as well.
Or if you want to use a synthetic, use Amsoil ATD (or their universal ATF). DO NOT use Mobil 1 ATF, it is NOT compatable with your paper blocker rings.
75 W 90(or 95) I used royal Purple in tranny and diff. RP syncro max in tranny,,Rp Max gear in rear. About 13,000 later still happy. The Max gear has the posi additive in it,,no need to add it!!

I use RP 75w-90 in the diff - it has the additive already in it for the limited slip. I use RP Synchromax in the trans. Great stuff. Amsoil makes great products too.
Any dextron III ATF will do for the tranny. Although, I had a hard time finding Dextron III when I replaced mine at 65K miles. I guess Dextron III is no longer a spec. The stock fluid was still red when I dumped it. I replaced it with Castrol Domestic Multi vehicle ATF ($3 per quart) with no problems.
I also replaced my diff with Mobil 1, 75W-90 LS synthetic. Any Synthetic 75w-90 will work. Also, add limited slip additive.
