I've been on a roll workin on little things here and there that need to be done to the vette the past few days... My climate control screen has been out the past few months, and along with a few other button lights.
Well today i soldered everything, put it in and NOTHING worked!!!Took it back apart, and realized one of the resistors was in backwards after looking at the DIY thread. So I get it back in and now the screen works perfect, but the rest of the buttons etc don't light up! Blahhh idk what happened, maybe its just time to have it sent out to get the led's replaced or is it easy to do? I'm not very good at soldering btw!
Yeah like most things repairs are all about the right tool for the job. Removing the old bulbs and solder from the holes is the hardest part of replacing the bulbs IMO. Get a solder sucker from Radio Shack to make your life alot easier!
Just don't linger in one area very long, you don't want to fry or lift a track. It's pretty easy to ruin your HVAC so take your time...
I've had to fix mine three times. It get's annoying to get in there and take all that interior stuff apart. There needs to be some sort of permanent fix.
