So do you have to tell him about column lock, power window and door issues, rocking seat, leaky butt, should I go on? You can't be responsible for his lack of research. If he cared so much about the purchase of this car he would have known piston slap was a possible issue and would have asked about it and/or asked to be able to start the car when it was cold. There's being honest and there's being too honest. You are trying to sell a car after all...and it sounds like he got a good one. A well taken care of low mile ride. relax

If the guy is a forum member shame on him. You shouldn't feel bad. All the info is here. Repeatedly. Daily, weekly, monthly, beat to death.

He has all the info he needed and if piston slap was on his list of concerns he should have asked.

Amen!! I'd be worried that the tolerances were too tight if there wasn't at least a little slap on cold start up!! Mine is gone when the oil temp hits around 80*!! I drive through the winter,,and kinda pay attention to it!
