Default question about exhaust system

Im looking into buying some corsa stingers for my 98 c5 and because im fairly new to vettes i didnt know if i was going to have to change the x pipe also. Will the aftermarket exhaust line up and bolt to the stock x pipe or do i have to do some welding? reason i ask is because if it doesnt line up then it doesnt make much sense to do the back end of the exhaust now i would just wait and do headers back.

I think that you will need to replace your stock H pipe with a X-Pipe and it will line up.

Borla makes the Stingers and they sound awesome.

You don't have to do an x-pipe. It will takes the edge off the sound a bit and smooth out the flow. The front of the x-pipe is just clamped and the rear section just bolts on. You might want to change the 2 gaskets in between the crossover (H or X pipe) and the rear section if you are buying used. A new system "should" include them.

Some of the B&B stuff I like. The Bullets sound good but are way too loud for me. I would consider the PRTs for sure. I'm interested in their Fusion exhaust for the C5 but it is pricey.

I just a few hours ago (after a lot of research) ordered the Borla Stinger Dual Tip exhaust and a Borla x-pipe.
