That'll get you a citation in many states. Why paint? The factory fogs are dim enough as it is!

there was no need to paint them. you can get the blue effect with various HID kits.

Ticket bait.

I added some Oznium LED flood lights to the outermost edges of the fog light bezel where the european parking lights are. at first I had blue ones in there as they were tied to my security system only, they looked awesome! I had some LED strip lights hidden under the bumper also, as my tastes quickly changed I removed the strip lights and eventually changed the blue LED flood lights to white so they can pass as street legal, it really adds a nice touch to the car.

Left my fog lights as 8000K HIDs however.

these are not the fog lights! they are 1W LEDs only! the fog lights are much brighter.

Looks like the OP doesnt live in the US but you would definitely get a ticket in probably every state here for that.

I agree. To my knowledge (which is limited), blue lights are reserved for emergency vehicles and police, little deeper into my limited knowledge is that the fine line is that the origin of light must not be seen, but if it's source is hidden (ie under vehicle) it's ok, providing you don't pass an officer thats just looking for a reason to pull you over.
With that said it does look cool...

One thing I can say is that the first picture is incredible! You need to have a poster of it. The backdrop and colors that are going on in that picture sometimes takes professional photographers hundreds of shots to get. About the fog lights, why not, I guess..........

They are just for show, there are "toning spray" that is made for lamps in different colors.Cost was about 10$ and the lens is painted.
And you are right, even here in Sweden were I live you can get a ticket for everything else but white and yellow front lamps.
On the other hand we risk speeding tickets every day with these cars, don,t we
I can post a pic in daylight later so you can see what they look like.
