Check my photos in my profile of my setup done by my local car audio shop. All is custom from the bezel to the sub box. I cant post pix at work.

Those are all great. All of the head units appear to be Pioneer, but are all of those dash trim pieces stock measurement or are they custom/aftermarket replacements that allow the units to fit? I too am looking for an in-dash nav. unit for my C5 and am not sure which model to purchase. If anyone can verify that any of these Pioneer units are compatable with the stock trim pannels I can buy one and the associated mounting kit. Really appreciate any insight. Thanks!

None of the units you've seen pictured will fit the stock bezel without bezel modification. The C5 opening is 1.5 DIN. All the nav units (pretty much, I think JVC had a single DIN size for awhile) are 2 DIN.

I have the JVC unit installed in my C5. it is ok if you don't want to redo the Bezel. Unfortunately I had the Pioneer AVIC Z2 installed in my hardrive 3 years ago. JVC doesn't even come close. First chance I get after I install my new seat covers is to contact the guys at DD-mods on a new Bezel.

Thats why many of us went for flip outs early on before the DD models began to appear. Its a straight slot in (1.5 DIN) to the stock bezel.

C5 BearsFan's bezels are awesome but the cost for a DD fit is way higher than flip out.

Just to make it clear, you have a 1.5 DIN housing in the Vette

You can fit Single DIN without mods

You can fit a 1.5 DIN flip out without mods. Heres my Pioneer AVIC X1R system

You need a new/modified bezel to take a double DIN like the one in C5 BearsFans post.

Hope you get fixed up.

Thanks guys .. I like the DD bezels, want mine just plain black though. Thats def. the way I want to go. I've never been thrilled with the slide out nav. systems and this way I can install one that fits.
