Starting w/'02 Z06 Torch Red w/ALL BLACK INTERIOR (9k mi on Z). Want to add some red accents - Love the 2 tone red/blk steerting wheel, maybe 2 tone console pad, red shift & brake boot. Red leather piping/trim around where console meets dash. I've found sources for those but really like the 2 tone door panels - blk top and red bottom and spkr grilles but don't have a source - same with the lower dash panels. This may be too much for some and I didn't even mention seat inserts. Is there a better way to go on seats than stock Z06? I saw a post w/pics last year with seats to die for - can't find it now. Probably cost more than the car.
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but the all black could stand to be livened up a bit. Any thoughts, supplier references for QUALITY material? This car is a keeper so no thought for resale - told my child bride to bury me in it.
This is my 2001 ZO6 interior. I've added a few things.
Suggest you start trading or buying Torch red Mod interior, which came on ZO6's, until you have all the pieces. Then take time and put it together.
Other guys have changed the color of their interior this way. I think it would be the cheapest way to go.
BTW - I LOVE the torch red interior.
Good luck.
I think as long as its subtle and all matches, then what ever you do to whatever extent is how far you should mod your interior. keep it classy and tasteful, don't mix more then 2 or 3 colors combos and keep is clean.
i just recently finished my interior and i spent dang near 4K on it. the Caravaggio seats were 3K. then i got redlinegoods.com leather wrapped interior pieces (170) . and lastly, i took all the stock plastic components and had them hydrographed in carbon fiber. that was 1000 itself.
I think I've done about all I wanna do to keep it classy looking, might wrap the dash and center console in neutral leather one day but that won't change much of the look... I was gunna paint some stuff on the interior but thought it would detract from the interior so just wrapped everything in custom leather...

You forgot to mention the custom Blue LED lighting...

I agree on the need to update the all black interior. So I went for a version of the stock Mod Red Z06 interior, but went with LeMans Blue to match my exterior. I added carbon fiber pieces, to tie in the fact I have a stock carbon fiber hood and went with two tone, blue and CF leather from Matt at Vette Essentials. Mod Blue Sport Seats are coming next.
Beautiful to the car but they all look showroom - let 1 spec of lint or dust get on my black interior and it makes the whole car look dirty. Yeah - I'm obsessive/compulsive - also clinically depressed and the meds don't always help.
