HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! This is hilarious. I agree with a lot of things the guys have been saying, put out a heat mat. That will work. Also, a basking light will work. I wouldnt EVER count on trying to find him during the day though, as they are nocturnal. However, ball pythons are very active at night. i can almost guarantee you he is frolicking about in your car every night. So keep on a heat lamp one night in the trunk away from where he is hiding, and wake up at about 2AM, and he is probably going to be out. If not under the heat lamp, then somewhere else in the car. check everywhere. I would also be careful not to park your car in the sun. If it gets too hot inside it will kill him. Anyways, if you see him, just GRAB him!! Their teeth are very sharp, but you probably wont get any worse injuries than you get while replacing you spark plugs! If you are really afraid of being bitten, be prepared to stuff a couple t-shirts in the holes he crawls into behind the speakers. i have been a reptile owner for 7 years now, so whatever you do, dont hurt him!
Sorry for your misfotune but we really appreciate the posts here. I hope you get him out of there soon.
I can't help but think about that scene in Gone in 60 Seconds when they steal the hummer from the parking garage and wonder why the guy had a "snake" plate. Then while driving it they found the snake in the floorboard. Be careful while driving with your new passenger.
Wow I have been following this thread for a few days.
As many have said, this is one of the most interesting threads I have ever seen.
You should sell tickets for a Webcast of the mouse adventure tonight.
Depending on the python's size, put a dead rat or mouse on the passenger seat. Seriously, that''ll get him out! It worked for me years ago when I had a pet boa and it managed to get in my basement ceiling!!
Here is a small story for you! A few years back my step son had a ball python that escaped from its cage. I spent 3 days looking for this thing, pulling out drawers, looking under beds, pulling out all the appliances. I literally tore the house apart and could not find it. Any way, one day I was sitting on the couch and heard a noise coming from the kitchen. I got up and heard the noise coming from the garbage area looked around and found it rolled up in a empty Pepsi Cola box. I dint get much sleep those days because i have a phobia of snakes. We duct tape the lid closed after that! standing bye for results on your endeavor, and hoping for the best.
