Im too lazy to do all kinds of searchin...I'm interested in some aggressive lookin tires...minimal rain tread but still keeps me on the road when it is wet..I've seen some pics on various posts here and there but never inquired on brands..anyone..anyone?
firestone wide oval(non runflat). Great tread wear, cut 1.90's at a decent track, wear great, work well in the rain, and don't cost too much. My Z won't ever see another tire.
Might want to look into some Nitto 555r's also. The drag radials. Not sure how they compare to the Wide Ovals, but there's a guy around here with those and he seems to like em. Just another option.

ran through 8-10 sets of them on my mustangs. Slighter better tire at the track, cut 1.80's with 200-250rwhp, but they need to be heated with a healthy burnout to maximaze their potential. I'm sure some c5's have gone 1.70's with them, but they get a litty hairy in the rain after the tread wears down. And they don't hook near as good as a MT or BFG drag radial. Go with a good street tire unless you hit the track on a weekend basis.

go to tire rack.com and look at some pics of tires. I got some general UHPs (ultra high performance) for my coupe. But I got them at metro 25 for $726 out the door. They don't make them in 265/40 for the front but you could go 275/40 and 295/35.

all long as you maintain the staggered height from front to back....wider is better
