GM recall-Column Lock

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Per COH's instructions, I pulled the #23 and the #25 fuse. I also pulled the #29 fuse. I have had our tuner go into the PCM with HP Tuners and set the fuel shutoff parameter to 255mph (which is the max), so at least now the fuel doesn't shut off. The car does not have the "K" harness or the relay.
I tried a second CLB that is brand new and the stupid message still appears. If I turn the key on, wait a few seconds, the message appears - and then I turn off the key, pull it out and then I restart...all is well. How do I get the message to not appear - what I have I missed?
It's not an issue of affecting the operation of the car - it's simply an inconvenience having the message on the DIC that a reset will not clear. I usually subscribe to the philosophy "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", but I thought I was avoiding an issue by installing the kit - instead I have created an issue when I didn't have one.

Look through the procedure in the following link. I'm willing to bet it can correct your error messages:

If you do try the procedure please post your results.
On a side note, does you shop use the HP Tuners on tunes? I may be interested in talking to you about a few things I would like done to my 04.

As far as tuning software - yes we use HP Tuners to tune in our shop. We have a Dyno-Jet in the shop - a tune includes normally about three pulls plus a driveability tune.
Please give me a call - I'd be happy to talk with you about your needs!

Cody told me that they were both pretty clean and tight, but he took the connectors off anyway, sanded down the connection point to assure good ground, and reassembled the connections.....this morning the "PULL KEY & WAIT 10 SECS" message appeared at start up.

So now, I'm at a loss as to what to try next.....anyone have any suggestions?

BTW - are you still looking for a tune?
