Default Best Color

Hello, I just sold my '99 Camaro SS and I am very close to buying my first Corvette. I am planning on buying a '02-'03 Z06. My question is whether there is an opinion on what color has the best resale value. I've always heard that if you bought a Vette, buy a white one with a red interior (not an option in my case), next comes a red one. I like the torch red with black and red interior. But I notice the yellow one is a $750 option. And I kinda like the yellow too. I plan on buying a stock car and keeping it mostly stock to keep the value as high as possible so I can step up to an LS7 if the Obama and the democrats don't outlaw them. Is there any difference in resale value? Thanks.

Personally, it would probably be harder to sell a red or yellow vehicle in my mind than say black or blue, but it all has to do with what is available, what the buyers are looking for. All in all, I would buy the color that you love the most and not worry about whether in a couple years down the line the car will be worth an extra $500.

interesting - I sold my 99 SS Camaro a few years back and replaced it with a C5 Zo6. For me, Black or blue were not even considered. My SS was red, silver = safe, but yellow was 1st choice and what I ended up with. Love that 03 yellow.

This is one of those things where you go with what color YOU like. You'll get 90 answers from 100 different people. I would say that generally, people like the Reds, Blacks and Silvers, but that's not saying that there is no market for the other colors, obviously. All of that being said, the Yellow (IIRC) is the least made color.

Hmm, so long story short, the mileage, condition (including history), and lack of serious modifications will be the determining factors at resale.

My SS was silver. I liked it, I thought the black mirrors and top and the graphite interior went well with it, and it sold within a week.

The one with the best resale later, will be the one that cost you the most now, so just get what you like!

IMO the only color that pulls any extra cash in a sale is Speedway White, When I was looking I wanted a SW Z, but I wanted a 405 car more than a color, and SW stopped after 01.

My 98SS was silver and I moved up to an Electron Blue ZO6. Buy the color you like.

BLACK was the color for me. It's a chore to keep it clean, but it looks sooooo nice. Besides...what else is their to do on those rainy days? Go with what you love!

When pricing 01's a Speedway White seems to have the highest asking prices unless youre comparing it to an ultra low miles car.

My personal favorites as far as colors (in order) SW, QS, EB, Blk. I am still struggling with the hp vs color issue ... I really like the white but I can find silver 02's with less miles and a cheaper price. No matter what color all C5 Z06's look great to me. I like them much better than the C6 in ANY color.

Buy the one you want. Color aint gonna do squat for you by the time you sell it. There are no bad colors, but everyone knows Quicksilver is the fastest

Your first 2 are the same as my first two, but the color VS HP problem was solved very easily for me when I found a CRAZZY deal on a QS 03Z
