I am thinking about instaling a factory Bose 12 Disc CD Player.
I am curious as to how each CD is displayed on the interior radio window?
How does one know how to select a desired stored CD?

By memory! You don't have anything to indicate which cd it is except for the number/slot in which you stored it. The #2 button on the radio selects the next CD in the line up.

the # 5 button selects the next cd in your line up (as you loaded them)the track button
moves the tracks up and down same as if you were using the single cd slot player
the only thing that is displayed on the front display is the cd # 1 through 12 and track #
I was going to do a 12 CD player, until someone showed me an IPod.
Now I use an IPod with over 400 CD's on it. I'm an old guy and didn't know too much about it. But once it was installed . . . won't go back to CD's.

#2 button is the random play button, 5 is the next cd.
Thanks for all your comments.
I have reconsidered the CD option and decided to go either Ipod or a hook up to my present Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS that has an MP3 player in it.

Is anyone hooked up to a GPS unit with an MP3 unit in it ?
Any issues?
No changer on my '00 FRC. Wired it right to the back of the radio with the PXHGM4 cable. No issues with battery draining here and it is constantly charging the Ipod. Keep in mind that if you have a newer (IE 4th generation) Ipod, the Peripheral won't charge your Ipod without an aftermarket cable (Isimple IS710 that's not available yet) or an adapter you can get at the electronic retailers..
