As many of you know, replacing an oil pressure sensor on a C5 and C6 Corvette is no less than a TOTAL pain in the rear. It requires you to basically remove everything on top of your motor. All for a 50 dollar sensor.
If you have a supercharger, it is even WORSE!!
Well, being that we develop and install top mounted supercharger systems, this problem is very big in our business. If you have a top mount blower, you can literally spend 500-800 dollars in labor just to make the change. Dealerships charge 300 plus dollars in labor alone on a stock vehicle.
Unfortunately, this is a part that goes out quite often. In some cases 2 and 3 times over the lifetime of your ownership.
Well, there is FINALLY a plug-n-play option that does not require you to cut harnesses, run a bunch of unsightly plastic line, splice in a bunch of brass fittings, or permantly damage anything.
Our kit allows you to not only relocate the sensor to the side of the motor, at the main oil galley, but it allows you to service that sensor whenever you see fit. A sensor swap takes LESS than 4 minutes with this relocation.
It takes about as long as unscrewing and reinstalling 1 sparkplug.
Has this been tested??
- Yes, many many times. We have actually tested this both mechanically, and electronically. The oil pressure readings are EXACT. All you are doing, is relocating the sensor to a more available port. Not to mention that we include this on EVERY supercharger or turbo we install in house
What is included?
- A special harness (along with OEM connectors) that allows you literally plug in to the existing harness, and extend the sensor to its new location. This is not some hand made harness. It was made to OEM specifications, using all oem materials, and machine crimping.
- Brand New Oil Pressure Sensor
- Tie Straps that allow you to attach the harness out of the way of any heat sources
- Instructions (with pictures detailing the swap)
We had an initial order of 25 sets made, and can ship immediatly.
The Complete kit, is $89.95 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states
If you already have the sensor, and only require the harness, ties, and detailed instructions, your cost is 39.95 shipped.
Please feel free to contact us direct for over the phone credit card orders, or you may pay via paypal to Jeff@totalperformanceengineering.com
OR, you can purchase off of our website. (UPDATE: Our CC processing is down right now. Only the paypal works. Were sorting it out now. You are NOT being charged when the error pops up.)

This sounds awesome
I have a question for you if my stock sensor goes out can I just leave it in place and use this? Or would I have to dig the old one out?

VERY good question..
It all depends on wether or not you can get to your plug. If you can get to the plug, and disconnect it, then yes, you can leave the stock one in place. If not, no you cant.

I would reccomend the next time you have to pull the manifold for any reason. This way if it goes out your safe. If you do it and your sensor is still working, then you only need the harness kit, and not the entire kit. You could still use your existing sensor.

Thats the great thing about it.. We are NOT running any additional lines or fittings..
You have a spare main oil galley on the drivers side of the motor. This location is in the exact same path, as the factory location. It even has the same hole size, and thread pitch.
We are basically removing the threaded plug, and installing that plug in the factory location. Then we are taking the oil pressure sensor, and installing it into the new location. The wiring harness plugs into the stock harness, and extends the harness to the new location.
This way it is 100% reversable, as well as plug-n-play.

Nice timing. My oil pressure sensor is acting up.
Where does the sensor get relocated to? I want to make sure that there is room since my setup is not even close to stock.
Jennifer sent me a price on the Pfadt street bars. Do I order off of the web site or do I need to call it in to get the price? FYI they show up as $24 on your web site.

You can order it any way that makes you feel comfortable..
From the looks of your avatar, you should be fine. The oil pressure sensor is relocated to the main oil galley, right behind the powersteering pump. I have yet to see a time where that port was obstructed.
BTW, Thank for the update. Its being corrected as I type this. If you want the street bars, you can either call in the order, send paypal, or shoot jennifer a PM and she will give you a coupon code for the website.
Were still hashing out all the issues with our site. Thank you for the heads up.

Hey Jeff,
This is a great idea! Where is the plug in the block? Any problem getting to it with LT's?
Kevin
BTW: Made a few more changes under the hood.
