I always thought chromies were an easy clean up, just a daily wipe down with a microfiber and that's all it took? Am I wrong?
What I mean, is that the polished aluminum, only required to be dried off and a coat of wax on occation. The C6 Z whells have the double spokes and that takes more time to dry and wax.
Can't be any easier to clean than chrome. Dry them off with a leaf blower, after you wash. Wipe them down with Windex between washes.
Having said that......go with the machined face. They look sweet on black!
Another aspect of the C5 in the other pic you posted is that it is dramatically lower. The aggressive stance makes quite a difference in how that car projects. It appears more muscular and, to a lesser degree, stealthier due to the "crouched and ready to pounce" setup.
I lowered my car as much as possible given I live in Texas (which is pickup country) The thin sidewalls will also help. One of my biggest grumbles with my current setup is the sidewall difference between the front and rear tires. The fronts are significantly thicker than the rears. The new tires will be nearly the same "thickness".
